04/22/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/22/15 10:06 During intake she would approach extended hand, sniff, and lick it. She would brush against hand when being pet and allowed to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and leashed without aggression. She appears to know the commands sit and stay because she followed those commands both by the police officers who brought her in and by the admission counselor. When she was given treats she would take gently from hand and she would lay down next to admission counselor when not being interacted with.
05/04/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Mocassin is such a great, well mannered and sociable gal that when she is out for playgroups with other dogs, she is working hard and long, meeting and playing with all kinds of pooches. Everybody, humans and canines alike feel comfortable having her around. I love her face, a bit austere but so beautifully composed, like a painting. Mocassin is welcoming in her kennel and is ready at once for her walk. Lots of compliments are written on her walking log and she so deserves them. She strolls nicely by my side, relieves herself as we exit in the street and sits when I ask her. She seems happy to have strangers coming to say hello and is fine idling when I strike a conversation with another volunteer. Mocassin is a well adjusted, well balanced girl who adapts quickly to whatever situation she finds herself in. I can imagine that she will fit like a glove in any setting that will bring her way genuine care and love. Mocassin is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be your forever best friend.
