I am a male brown and white am pit bull ter and rhod ridgeback mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 04/13/2015 from NY 11421, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

04/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
At intake M&M was reported to be very playful and affectionate. He allowed all handling and was easily collared by an admissions counselor. During SAFER M&M was very sociable and playful towards the assessor. He did become a bit excitable during the handling items, but he allowed the assessor to complete each item without issue. M&M was a bit distracted during the tag interaction, and was a bit resistant when being pushed out of the food bowl, but with a bit of pressure he lifted his head and allowed the assessor to remove the food without issue. When engaged with the toys and rawhide items, M&M is easily handled and did not show any concerning behavior when the items were removed. When excited M&M displays energetic puppy behavior, but he is easily managed, so the department feels he can be suitable for an “Average” experienced adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. His body is soft, and panting, and jumps up between attempts to lick Assessor. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft and a bit distracted. Squeeze 1: 2. Dog quickly pulls back. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body soft. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy 1: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy. Rawhide: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the rawhide. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, MM is social and respectful when greeting. He is bouncy and shows energetic puppy behavior

When off leash with other dogs, MM is social and respectful when greeting. He is bouncy and shows energetic puppy behavior 4/15 Update MM engages in some rough and rowdy play with an older male. 4/18 Update: M&M continues to engage in a rougher play style. He is not always respectful to less tolerant or nervous dogs. 4/19,420 Update M&M continues to enjoy rough, mouthy play and does well with tolerant dogs with a similar play style. 4/21 Update M&M does well with both males and females and is excited to play. He engages in a bit of running play with a playful adult male and is respectful of an adult female who does not want to continue play and is not pushy in forcing play.
