Basic Information: Missy is a white and brown female Shih Tzu who is approximately 9 yrs. old. Missy is unaltered and appears to be in good physical health. Missy was purchased from a breeder by her previous owner and was with them for 9 years. Missy is escribed as quiet and polite.
Missy is relaxed playful respectful and tolerant around children of all ages. Missy will play with children in a gentle manner. Missy has been socialized with both cats and dogs and is described as playful respectful tolerant and relaxed around both cats and dogs. Missy is gentle when playing and interacting with both cats and dogs. Missy is house trained and rarely has accidents in the house. Missy is mostly an indoor dog who is walked on a semi regular basis. Missy is described as a high activity dog who is plyful affectionate mellow pushy shy aloof confident fearful independent excitable anxious and friendly.
Missy is not bothered if you place your hand close to her food or if you take away her toys or treats. Missy does not go on the furniture and can be restrained or held with minimal effort. Missy likes all forms of grooming behaving well when being bathed or having her nails trimmed. Missy is friendly when strangers apporach her family or property. Missy knows the down command but no other commands. Missy will go for slow walks and can be walked off of her leash. When off of her leash Missy will return when called. Missy likes balls for her toys. Missy has not been crate trained at this time. Missy will use wee wee pads in the house and will also use the bathroom on tress when outside. Missy is well behaved in the house when left alone. Missy will shows signs of anxiety and nervousnous with loud noises. Missy likes to eat dry food 2-3 times a day. When in the house Missy will stay with her owner and follow them around the house. Missy will also stay in her favorite spot of the kitchen. Missy will also sleep in her dog bed.
Throughout the Intake process Missy was well behaved and well socialized with the staff here at ACC. Missy was frienly and playful and allowed herself to be collared and handled by staff with no difficulties.
