A volunteer writes:
Minnie is with us at the ripe age of 13 as her owner died. Beside a tiny hint of weakness in her hinds, Minnie is quite in a good shape, walks nicely and even does well the stairs. Given a chance, she will eliminate in the street or the yard. Minnie comes right away to her door and is leashed easily. She is lost at the care center but found her balance rather quickly for an older gal. She is sociable, friendly, likes to be petted and to my surprise, seems to like other dogs very much. She is really happy to meet other pooches, males or females, big or small. At first, she would not eat from my hand but as she got used to me, she accepted my offerings. Minnie owns a pretty face with girly markings. She could use some grooming but she does not have a dirty or matted coat. Her fur is thick , her eyes still bright and her weight is decent. Minnie is at the Manhattan Care Center and will need very soon a new place to call her own and a new owner to love. Will you open your heart to this senior in need?
