I am a male white and brown lhasa apso mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 05/31/2015 from NY 11373, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Patient was noted to have nasal dc, cough on tracheal palpation during rounds. Patient also has a cherry eye OD and a large amount of mucopurulent dc OD A: Cherry eye with possible secondary infection OD Kennel cough P: Move to medical Doxy x 10 days TAB ointment OD x 10 days

05/31/15 18:58 Finder stated Mink was friendly and approachable. He walked well on the leash and accepts petting. During intake Mink body was loose and wiggly. He sniffed counselor hand and was interested in treats. He became stiff and anxious when attempting to collar and photographed. Mink began to hard bark and growl. When counselor offered treats he became relax and allow counselor to place him into his kennel. He eagerly ate food counselor offered him.

Mink walks with a submissive body language. He was shy but friendly during the assessment – low body, but trying to stay close. Mink was shy during handling, but had soft body language. He had a low body position during the tag test, but followed the assessor at the end of the leash. Mink was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. He was not interested in toys or rawhide. Mink was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Mink was shy during the assessment but he stays close to the assessor. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter. This dog is somewhat fearful and is offering signs of submission. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, shy body language , mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, low and a bit fearful. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body likely a bit stiff. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy 1. No interest. Rawhide 1. No interest. Dog – dog: 1. Dog approaches the helper, soft body, tail neutral, but not playful.
