10/19/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
Basic Information Millie is a female white and brown pit bull that came in as owner surrender. Owner found Millie 2 months ago on the street and decided to take her in. When he went away for a month and left Millie with a care taker, he came back and appeared to have been neglected; she was skinnier than when he left her. He feared that she might be sick and he won’t be able to care for her so he brought her in. Social Life & Personality Millie is relaxed, respectful and playful around children and other dogs. She has never come in contact with cats. She is mostly house-trained and has accidents a few times a week. She is kept indoors only and has a high activity level. Owner described her as playful, excitable, affectionate, shy, mellow and friendly. Behavior Issues Millie has never bitten or scratched another person or animal. Owner has never touched her food bowl while eating. She isn’t bothered with having treats, toys or other objects taken away and is friendly with house visitors and unfamiliar people. Upon intake, Millie appeared to be calm and loose bodied. When she slipped from the leash, she returned when she was called. She was loose bodied and allowed herself to be handled, collard and photographed. For a New Family to Know Millie knows the commands sit and stay and enjoys playing with stuffed toys. When she is home with owner she tends to follow him around and be in the same room as him. When left alone in the house she is well behaved. Millie eats both wet and dry food and sleeps on a blanket.

Millie previously lived with 1 adult and has been around children and dogs. The owner stated Millie is relaxed, respectful and playful around children and other dogs. The owner mentioned Millie is house-trained, well behaved when home alone and has a high activity level. The owner describes Millie as playful, excitable, affectionate, shy, mellow and friendly. At intake it was reported Millie was calm with loose body posture, she allowed all handling. During SAFER Millie came into the assessment with high energy, she was friendly and playful towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Millie joins the game during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Millie was easy to handle when engaged with the items.
