07/16/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Milky Way is not shy in his kennel. He comes right away when he sees a human face appearing at his door. I pet his head, he licks my hand, I scoop him up, down to the ground and off to the yard…. Milky way waddles his way to the stairs and asks for help to climb them. His nails are long and his huge belly carrying a heavy secret is holding him up. Milky way loves treats and despite the fact that he has only a few teeth, chumps heartily on chicken tenders. He is a very friendly character, a little white boar with protruding tusks and a right ear always pointing in the direction he takes. He so likes to be petted. He is so needy of company..Milky Way is a friendly and social elderly, very unusual looking who is looking for a new master to love. He comes with ailments connected to an advanced age and will need veterinary care to make sure his golden years are comfortable. Will you be Milky Way’s hero? He is waiting, hopeful at the Manhattan Care Center.
