Mike came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. It was also mentioned during his medical exam he was tense and nervous. During SAFER Mike entered the assessment room loose and wiggly but also smelling around the room, sensitivity he was leaning in on the assessor with his body soft, tag interaction he was distracted and focused on sniffing the assessment room. Squeeze test he didn’t respond but showed no aggression, for food item Mike showed some concerns when the assessor moved his head out of the food bowl he had a stiff body and snapped at the assess-a-hand, toy he showed no interest and rawhide he took away with a stiff body and hard stare when the assessor showed the assess-a-hand.
