08/24/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Laughing eyes, freckled ears and a picture perfect eye patch — little Michelle is totally adorablicious! That’s right, I had to create a whole new word to cover the off-the-charts cuteness level of this tiny livewire, she really must be seen to be believed. Barely out of puppyhood yet clearly already a mother herself, Michelle may not have had the most stable life in her previous home but she’s still feeling very anxious over her current predicament and spends her free time in the yard frantically searching for a way out. She dashes this way and that, chasing a ball but quickly dropping it, running into my arms for snuggles and kisses then wiggling away again, never still for more than a few seconds at a time. Michelle is athletic and keen to explore, toughs it up (a little too much!) with a bigger male in the pen next door and even lifts her leg to pee… I think we’ve got a real tomboy on our hands here! I know she had a good walk with another volunteer earlier in the morning but when we hit the street she seems confused, having wanted so badly to get out here, now that it’s time to cross the road she doesn’t know what to do with herself and pulls us back inside instead. Energetic as she is, Michelle understands when to tone it down, too. As I tether her to clean off one of her legs she gives me no problems, calmly waiting as I wet, scrub and then dry the offending spot. The noise and bustle of life at the Care Center is all a bit much for this not-so-delicate wee Princess but in an active, stable home where she knows exactly what is expected of her and there’s always loving arms to run to, Michelle could be the beautiful, funny, affectionate pet you’ve always wanted. Check her out at our Manhattan Care Center today!
