05/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mellow walks calmly on leash. He was not sociable, and was more interested in the surroundings than the handler during the assessment. Mellow repeatedly attempted to get away from the assessor he was focused on objects in the room during handling. Mellow was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. Mellow was not interested in toys or rawhide. Mellow approaches helper dog, body is tense, ears erect and high tail wag. The behavior department feels that he may do best with an experienced adopter who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification We also recommend a home without children because of his bite incident. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 3. Dog is not fearful and is struggling to get away. The dog is not focused and is in constant movement, unconnected to the Assessor. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 1. Dog lifts head and ceases eating when you reach to pull the bowl away. Toy: 1. No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 3. Dog approaches the helper dog with his tail high, stiff body, head tall, and ears erect. Helper: A1034902
