05/05/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I might’ve squealed a little bit when I first saw Megan Draper. She’s petite, her face is mushy, her clouded eye adds worlds of character, and (try as I might to capture it in a photo) her tongue often peeks out of her closed mouth. She is ridiculously cute, and her completely charming personality means she only gets cuter as you spend more time with her! She seems housebroken and fine in the presence of other dogs. Though, when she spotted a photo decal of a chihuahua on the back of one of the vans she was a little alarmed – she stood on her hind legs to sniff it out and then barked as if to demand he stop being so motionless, or at least explain why he was so much bigger than her! She isn’t afraid to tell me what’s on her mind either – when I slapped my legs and tried to encourage her to play she wiggled her way over to me while making soft eye contact and letting out the most endearing howly bark! She shows fleeting interest in tennis balls and gets the zoomies, but then hops up on the bench and invites me to join her! She loves to be petted and nearly goes belly up when I stumble on the itchy spots that are out of her reach. This little lady is definitely something special – please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
