McGruff reminds me of  “a new kid on the block”… He strolls tail and head  up, confident and happy looking, marks his territory and inquires about every single dog passing by…He does not chase pigeons or squirrels, though. He is quite a friendly and sociable character who comes right away when called  and enjoys neck scratches and cheery talks. He will run after a ball but does not retrieve. He is a very good looking young man who owns limpid grey eyes conveying very clearly that he knows what he wants. Company and treats, lots of treats.. Mcgruff can sit for them but it takes lots of begging. He prefers to jump and I must say that he is hard to resist him… McGruff indeed,  is quite thin, his nails are long, his feet have sores and his ears show the worse infection and inflammation I have ever seen. He  was neglected  for reasons we do not know. McGruff is a handsome dog, smart and determined. He is quite sweet too and will come on the lap for bonding time. McGruff’s short life does not seem to have been the easiest and may be, may be, his stay at the care center will land him the owner or family  he so much needs. McGruff is at the Manhattan Care Centert, dreaming upon a star
