10/03/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/03/15 17:11 Basic info: Maxamillium is a 7 1/2 year old male dog who has no prior injuries or medical problems. He was gotten as a gift and surrendered because owner does not feel he was able to provide proper training. Social life and Personality: According to the owner he has spent time around children ages 4 and up and was relaxed and playful but when he played with the children he was rough because he would jump on them and knock them over. He has not been around other dogs or cats so his behaviors are unknown. He is house trained, kept mostly indoors, and has a very high level of energy. Behavior: He does have a history of biting. He has bitten twice, one when the owner was playing with him and was using his hands to play with his face. The other bite occurred when he was trying to place a muzzle on him when he was at the vet for an ear infection and he was unable to properly do it and ended up hitting the dogs ear which cause the dog to turn around and leave 2 puncture wounds that drew blood (occurred 3 weeks ago). Owner never took food, toys, treats, or other objects away from him but when owner walked past the dog while he was eating he would have stiff body and growl but never raised his head away from the food bowl. When unfamiliar people approach the house or family member he will sit by the owner and if the stranger is very loud he will have stiff body and growl. New Family Info: He is used to brisk walks on leash and when left home alone would be secluded into a separate room in the home but was well behaved. Loud noises will cause him to bark and growl and he was fed both wet and dry food. Intake Behavior: During intake he would approach extended hand and sniff it. He would pull on leash throughout intake and when a loud noise would occur he would bark but had soft, relaxed body. When touched had wiggly body and would lick hand and face. When scanned was negative for a microchip.
