A volunteer writes: Max was found abandoned in his apartment with another dog after their people moved away. He has the blue eyes of a husky and during the first few days of his stay I even caught him howling in his cage! He’s very waggy and greets the staff members we pass by gently propping his paws on them. He does jump up for attention, but seems to stay still once he gets it. He likes to explore with his nose when I bring him in the yard, but once he’s surveyed the land he’ll join me. He loves to be pet and will weave in and out of my legs to ensure maximum coverage, and do the limbo when I reach the itchy base of his tail. He has a fair amount of energy and is well versed in play bowing – so cute! When he’s in the mood for fetch he’ll jump to meet the ball mid-air. If he’s not in the mood he’ll run in the direction of the ball and then just continue on his zoomie way! He mostly walks well on leash, seems housebroken, has been calm when we’ve seen other dogs, knows “sit” and takes treats nicely – what a gentleman! Max is really a wonderful boy that seems to get sweeter each time I take him out! He’s ready to move out of Brooklyn ACC and onto your couch – please come meet him today!
