09/24/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Max was surrendered by his owner due to “personal problems” and we’re told that he’s friendly and outgoing to all (Intake staff notes that Max loves belly rubs and is “playful and outgoing”), plays exuberantly with everyone, plays with other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, loves baths and to be brushed, knows ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’ and ‘come’, and loves to eat and go running. Max is a healthy looking boy, well fed, gorgeously groomed and always smiling. As we walked to the park he smiled and wagged his tail at every person we passed, and it’s clear that he would have liked to ‘friend request’ them all! Posing for photos like a pro, he didn’t mind being tethered, made soft eye contact and alternated between a serious face and a smiling face. And what a face – he’s gorgeous! Off leash he wagged his tail at dogs in adjoining pens, comes when called, and never stops wagging his tail. Max runs after a tossed tennis ball, playing very briefly but as of this writing (a day after he joined us), he’s more interested in exploring the pen and getting to know his new environment. He’s clearly been a well taken care of member of his family, and is looking to find a new family to take care of. Who will be the lucky one? Another volunteer writes: Max is a sweet and loveable boy. A little shy at first, Max had no trouble being leashed up and taken out for a walk. He enjoyed being outside and remained interested and active during our walk by wagging his tail at other people and dogs that passed us by. Aside from his handsome looks, Max has a big heart and has a lot of love to share. He still waits at the shelter for his forever family, but when he finds them he will fill the home with lots and love and playfulness. Come meet him and see for yourself!
