A volunteer writes: Massimo means “the first, the greatest” and is he ever!!! He’s fabulous! Handsome, well groomed, likely housetrained, good on the leash(he pulls slightly from time to time), he’s an amazing dog to spend time with. In the park we stopped to take some pictures, Massimo fine with being tethered and making soft eye contact as I snapped away. He gets a bit nervous with loud sudden street noises, like when a huge truck lumbered by on First Avenue, but recovers quickly and we carry on. In the backyard he loved playing with a plush toy, tossing it around and then flopping over on his back nose to the toy. Belly rub time!! His adorable face looks up at me with a smile, and I love his black nose which looks like it’s been smudged with some coal. He’s gorgeous! In group he’s “gentle and dainty” and solicits play. Found by the police they said he was friendly and nice, jumping right into their car for a ride to the shelter. Massimo is young, friendly, sweet and a great dog. He’s waiting for you to make him yours!
