04/26/15 08:56 Mary is an adult female American Pitt Bull Terrier mix that was brought in as a stray. At intake she had a loose body and relaxed ears as well as a wagging tail. She allowed all handling of the counselor. In the Admin. Office she followed the counselor around as she was completing the intake. When asked to sit, Mary sat every time. She was very easy to collar, scan, and photograph.
05/04/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: With a name like Mary Loo you might expect this girl to be sweeter than pie, and you’d be right! I first stumbled upon her in the hallway, the vet fawning over her while explaining to her that her belly rub position wasn’t conducive to a proper examination! She is sort of short legged and has a face that’s impossible not to fall in love with. And that face REALLY lights up at the sight of a tennis ball. Mary Loo pushes the ball with her nose, holds one in her mouth while batting at another with her paw, and even brings the ball and drops it right next to me on the bench. She knows “sit” and makes a genuine attempt at patiently waiting, but mostly can’t contain herself — she looks like a kid on a trampoline as she anticipates the next throw! Even without a toy in tow, it’s impossible not to smile in her presence. Mary Loo is very waggy and eager to explore on walks, but still attentive. She seems housebroken and fine in the presence of other dogs. And her love for tennis balls is surpassed only by her love for people! She is incredibly affectionate — the belly rub incident was far from isolated and she is so diligent and thorough in giving kisses. Please come meet this little ray of sunshine at Brooklyn ACC!
