They say great things come in small packages and with itty bitty Martie McFly, the proof is in the brindlicious pudding! Is she sweet you ask? Oh yes! Martie greets everyone she meets with a flurry of kisses and happy knee-high hugs. And smart? No doubt about it! She knows commands for come, down and sit and can even stand up on her hind legs to ‘beg’ if the mood so takes her. But what about her manners…? We’re offended you even need to ask! Martie is a proper little lady who walks very nicely on leash, ‘checking in’ with her handler every so often and politely passing other dogs with shy yet friendly curiosity. Okay, but is she healthy? Uh, have you seen her eat?!! Martie has what my Mom calls ‘hollow legs’ and she takes treat after treat after treat gently from my fingers, always eager for more food to plump out that skinny little belly of hers. Martie’s skin and diet have been neglected and she’s already had at least one litter of adorable puppies but this happy-go-lucky gal isn’t dwelling on the past and now it’s her turn to shine as the star of the show, the one who gets to be babied and fussed over as she deserves. Scoop up the tiniest, friendliest, funniest, most joyful dog you’ll ever meet at our Manhattan Care Center but do it quick, a pet as amazing as the marvelous Martie McFly won’t stay unclaimed for long!
