I am a male br brindle and white staffordshire mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/20/2015 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

03/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Marcus was brought in as a stray surrender, so his past behavior in a home is unknown. Upon intake it was noted that Marcus was whining but wagging his tail while allowing all handling. During SAFER Marcus was sociable towards the assessor, and gently jumped up with a loose body when greeting. He allowed all handling items without issue, and was a bit distracted during the tag interaction. He was a bit stiff during the food item, but calmly lifted his from the bowl when pushed with a bit of pressure to his cheek, and he only showed minimal interest in the toys and rawhide items when being removed. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game. He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are back. Squeeze 2:1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 2. Dog follows the dish with his tail down, body soft. Dog lifts head after a bit of pressure from hand to cheek. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in Toy, dog licks, then turns away. Rawhide: 1. Minimal interest in rawhide, dog smells, then turns away. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Marcus does well with multiple dogs in the yard and is tolerant of a female’s attempts to play. He Likes playing chase with a female, and is very friendly with other dogs, males and females.

03/22/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION 
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Marcus is a little uncomforable with the social helper and will sniff her nose-to-nose for a brief bit. He seems slightly sexually motivated but can be distracted. 3/22 Update Marcus does well with multiple dogs in the yard and is tolerant of a female’s attempts to play and will somewhat engage in her play attempts and will run around. 3/24 Update Likes playing chase with a female. He is very friendly with other dogs, males and females. 3/25 Update Marcus does well with males and females and is respectful and tolerant when greeting other dogs 3/26 Update Marcus continues to do well while off leash with other dogs but is a bit sexually motivated.
