09/06/15 11:53 Marc Antony A1050536 is an older male white & brown short haired Chihuahua whom was found roaming the halls of the finder’s residence in the Bronx. The finder stated he was friendly and they were able to pick him up and bring him to us at the BXAC. During intake Marc Antony was docile and allowed all handling. Marc Antony allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. Marc Antony laid on my lap and napped as I finished his intake, he didn’t mind being held, carried, picked up and was placed into the kennel with ease.
09/08/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Marc Anthony… My “type” of Chihuahua.Trim, reddish brown and latte lush coat. Big dark wet saucer eyes. Marc Anthony has a freebie…batty ears. Marc Anthony lays quietly at the back of his kennel. Gentle words move him to his door. I scoop him up and off we go for a walk. He is pretty good on the leash and even does stairs. He is curious of other dogs in a nice way. His den is very clean and he does his business outside without marking. Mark Anthony is a very sweet chap who loves to be on the lap and petted. He is calm and very gentle, making him a most suitable companion for a person who does not wish to be on his or her toes all day long with a very young pet but desires a well mannered and loving while lively companion. Mark Anthony is all that… Cute, petite, friendly, affectionate. Do not wait any longer. Come and meet him very soon at the Manhattan Care Center.
09/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Marc Antony is initially a bit shy when entering the assessment but is unbothered when the assessor approaches and wags his tail when she kneels down to greet him. He was calm and easy to handle. Marc Antony did not engage in the game during tag, but was not fearful and approached the assessor with coaxing once the game ended. He had no interest in food, toy or rawhide. Marc Antony was brought to the care as a stray; upon intake, he was docile, allowed all handling, and did not mind being carried or held. Throughout the assessment, Marc Antony remained friendly towards the assessor and showed no signs of aggression. The Behavior Department feels he can go to an average home. Look: 1. Dog holds gaze with soft eyes, soft body. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Dog holds gaze for three full seconds. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is down with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) Squeeze 1&2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: No interest Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Marc Antony greets briefly, but mostly keeps to himself.
