A volunteer writes: So stunning intake staff couldn’t decide which name was more appropriate so they used both! Frankly, I thought I might be meeting a stripper (great stage name, right?), instead of this stunning young male in a shiny well groomed coat. His gorgeous amber eyes are showcased in his white face, his tail wags, his coat gleams with good care, and he’s affectionate, friendly and energetic. He goes potty as soon as we’re out the door and we’re off to the park. LL (for short) pulls on the leash so will benefit from a harness and/or some leash training, but when he stops mid walk to give me a stand up hug my heart melts. It’s like he’s taking a break from our walk and telling me how much he appreciates it all. Melting……..Off leash in a pen he loves playing with a squeaky toy, tossing it around, giving chase and then bringing it into my lap and enjoying some petting. He can get a bit mouthy (no pressure) when he plays so needs to be taught that mouthing his person is not appropriate. He enjoys treats so with positive based reinforcement training he’ll learn everything he needs to know. LL is looking for a fun and active family or person with whom to enjoy play time, regular walks and structure, and of course, lots of shared hugs and kisses.
