The dog’s name is Luna. She is a blue nose pit-bull and she is 3 years old and unspayed.
Luna was originally obtained from a breeder. The dog has no injuries or health issues to their knowledge.

Around children this dog is playful. She plays somewhat rough with children. Around other dogs she is relaxed and playful. She plays very rough with them. It is unknown how she is around cats.
When left alone, Luna is anxious.
Luna has no bite history according to the owner.
when someone touches her food, Luna isn’t bothered. When her bone, rawhide, or treat is taken away she also isn’t bothered. When a toy or other object is taken away she is friendly. She isn’t bothered when she is taken off the furniture. She is afraid when given a bath. Luna isn’t bothered when her nails are trimmed or touched. It is unknown how she acts when her coat is brushed. When she is held or restrained, she isn’t bothered. Luna is friendly when a stranger approaches the house, you or a family member. She eats dry food and she sleeps on a dog bed.
SAFER
On 3/13/2015 Luna came to us as owner surrendered. According to the owner Luna is playful with children, gets along with strangers, and has no bite history. The owner also claims Luna tends to play rough with children and other dogs. The Assistant’s observations: Friendly and walked well on leash to the assessment area. During the assessment Luna appeared calm and friendly. She allowed the Assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items and accepted handling well. Luna showed no interest for food and minimal interest for toys. When presented with a rawhide Luna appeared fearful of the “assess-a-hand”. When the Assessor attempted to push on Luna’s face with the assess-a-hand, she appeared fearful dropping the rawhide and quickly backing away. No other behavior issues/no aggression noted. Although Luna did well on the assessment, she appeared somewhat fearful of the assess-a-hand. In addition, the former owner’s claims Luna plays rough with other dogs (not observed during the assessment) and children must be taken into consideration. It is the recommendation of the Behavior Department Luna may be adopted by an experienced owner with no children.
