PROFILE: 07/30/15

BASIC INFO:  Lucky A1045969 is a male Shih Tzu/Chihuahua Mix.  He was a gift from Family.  Owner has had the dog for 7 years.  The main reason for surrender is because the Owner’s family member has Cancer and the Owner is going back home, overseas to care for them.  Lucky does not have any health problems or concerns.

SOCIALIZATION:  Lucky is friendly around strangers.  He has never lived with any children, but is respectful of them.  He has lived with his brother who is 5 years old and they are respectful of one another.  They do play rough with each other.  He has not lived with any cats.  He has never bitten or scratched anyone.

BEHAVIOR: Lucky does not have any behavior issues.  During storms, the Owner stated they do not know how he responds.  He is not bothered if you take away his food bowl, toy or anything.  He enjoys being bathed and brushed.  Has never trimmed nails.  If an unfamiliar approaches, he is not bothered.

FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Best way to describe him is by saying that he is friendly, affectionate, and playful.  He has a low activity level, but does play a lot.  He does not have any toys.  He sleeps on the floor and was fed Pedigree dry food, open bowl.  He is house trained will go on wee-wee pads in the home.  When left alone, they are well behaved. They do not know any commands.  For exercise, owner would take on brisk walks on the leash of which he does not pull.

BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE:  Lucky was a little nervous but relaxed afterwards.
