11/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Lucas is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER at this time. Upon intake it was reported that Lucas was unable to be muzzled by his owner’s and had to be placed directly in a kennel with a clear lobby because no one was able to come to close to him. He was also intolerant of handling during the medical exam and had to be sedated in order for medical staff to evaluate him. In the kennel Lucas can be seen growling, snarling, lunging and trying to bite when approaching his kennel. A SAFER assessment will not be conducted due to safety and stress level concerns.
