09/13/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/13/15 17:58 Basic Information: Lola is 14 years old, she is Bichon Frise mixed with Havanese. Her previous owner had her for 10 years but had to give her up because due to urinary and fecal incontinence. The two things Lola’s previous owners liked most about her are; she’s always friendly and happy and she’s very polite. Social Life and Personality: Lola has never been around children, cats or other dogs. She is mostly house-trained but recently has been having accidents daily. She was kept indoors only and her activity level is high. Lola can be described as playful, confident, affectionate, friendly and mellow. Behavior Issues: Recently Lola has been defecating and urinating in the home. If someone touches her food bowl, treat or toy while she’s eating or playing Lola growls and snaps. She’s friendly if she is pushed off the furniture or if she’s held. She isn’t bothered if she’s given a bath, getting her coat brushed or nails trimmed. She also isn’t bothered if an unfamiliar person approached the home or her previous owner. For a New Family to Know: Lola knows down, sit and come in Spanish and English. For exercise she went on slow walks on leash 3 times a day. She likes to play with squeaky toys and her favorite game is tug. When she used the bathroom she usually went on grass and cement. When her previous owners were home Lola would tend to be in the same room. When left alone in the home she was well-behaved. When off leash Lola wanders but comes when called. Lola ate dry and wet Pedigree. At night she slept in her dod bed. Behavior during intake: Lola was very relaxed, she was wagging her tail and allowed me to collar and pet her. Lola showed no signs of aggression.

09/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lola walks calmly on leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Lola was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was not interested in food, toys or rawhide. She was relaxed when approaching a friendly dog, but was not playful. Lola was surrender to us. Her previous owner described Lola as playful, confident, affectionate, friendly and mellow. Lola has never been around children, cats or other dogs. The owner stated that if someone touches her food bowl, treat or toy while she’s eating or playing Lola growls and snaps”. Because of his owner profile the behavior department feels that she may do best with an experienced adopter. We also recommend a home without children. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is likely crouching, may have long lip or lip lick. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back her paw. Food 1: No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog – dog 1. Dog approaches the helper, soft body, tail neutral, but not playful. Helper: A1051478
