I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 06/05/2015 from NY 11421, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

06/05/15 22:02 Link arrived as an owner surrender with limited information. Upon intake Link was cautious to introduction. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) and photograph but did not collar. Link is receptive to petting on his own terms and slow introduction is required. Link was not insistent on leash but needed re-assuring guidance as strangers could cause him to be reactive.

06/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Link was aloof and uninterested in interacting with the assessor. When the assessor touched the dog he became stiff and when coaxing into position for look, the dog hard stared at the assessor and growled. The assessment then moved onto resources where Link had no interest in food, toy or rawhide. Link was surrendered to the care center due to his family moving; upon intake Link was cautious. The Behavior Department recommends placement with a New Hope partner who can provide him enrichment and time to warm up to a new environment and new people. Look: 5. Dog hard stares and growls. Food: No interest Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs, Link is a bit hesitant when interacting but is tolerant. He exhibits some sexual motivation.
