A volunteer writes: I’ve never liked licorice…until now! This big baby has a typical Bulldog waddle his soft velvet like fur rolling as he walks. A tank, a bulldozer…he’s a big bruiser of a guy who tries hard, and succeeds!, to get up on the bench next to me to snuggle. He nuzzles me with his paw to pet him, gives me kisses and snorts with the pleasure of it all. The under bite, the girth, the snorts, the big paws, the little stubby tail….be prepared to attract a lot of attention when you’re out with this guy. Greeting a small dog nicely through the fence, his little nub wags a bit and then he moves on. Out for a walk, Licorice has nice leash manners, poses for some pictures not minding being tethered, and shows off his housetraining skills. He’s fun, friendly and an active cuddler, and connoisseurs of this breed will delight in him.
