Helllooooo gorgeous!! So beautiful and unassuming…..thrilled to be going out to go potty, she’s fun, playful and loving…..Her coat is soft and lush, her eyes soft, confused, intelligent and loving, and her demeanor easy and affectionate. She pulls on the leash so will benefit from a harness and/or some leash training. She loves treats and takes them gently, so should be easy to train with some positive reward based training. Off leash in a pen Liannie loves to play fetch, running after the ball, bringing it back, dropping it at me feet and then nudging it closer to me with her nose. Seriously, how adorable is that?! Giving stand up hugs and laying her paws in my lap for some petting she lifts her head like a cat to give me better access for an under the skin scratch. She’s so quietly playful, nicely behaved and gently affectionate, I fell in love with her and know you will too. She rocked her behavior assessment earning an ‘average’ meaning she’ll be a good fit in just about any home. Liannie is Latin for ‘downy grace’ and she lives up to her name. She’s gorgeous inside and out; ask to meet her today.
Another volunteer writes:
Always quiet in her kennel, wagging her tail when she seems someone approach, our little caramel delight is always ready for an outing. Happy to be with other dogs, happy to play fetch, happy to snuggle, she’s the perfect size and temperament for just about anything you’ll want to do. She’d love an active family where playtime, preferably including some ball playing, is on the agenda, but will be equally happy with nice walks, or the opportunity to bat a ball around herself. Fun, playful, affectionate, and gorgeous, Liannie’s rockstar behavior assessment indicates she’ll be a good fit in just about any home. Everything is better with a friend, so make Liannie yours today.
A volunteer updates:
Liannie is my ‘go to’ girl for some play time, a cuddle, a wagging tail and smiling face when I need one. She’s maintained her great looks and attitude, and volunteers have filled her kennel card with tributes to her great personality. “Great dog”, fun girl”, “love her”, “AWESOME”, “so sweet” are but a few of the shout outs to our girl. Playing fetch, pulling the stuffing out of a toy, going for walks, followed up by some loving is Liannie’s idea of a fun day. Whatever your definition of a fun day is it will be enhanced with Liannie by your side. Ask to meet her today!

Liannie was not interested in toys but took the rawhide away but had soft body language. Liannie rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression.

Liannie allowed her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands for Look item, licking her lips with her ears back. She also licked her lips with ears back during Sensitivity item, but accepted the touch. Liannie followed at the end of leash for Tag with soft body, needing coaxing at the end of game to return to assessor as she was focused on other things in the room. She jumped up on assessor in between Squeeze attempts, not pulling her paw away. On second attempt, she mouthed/licked assessor’s hand without applying pressure. Liannie calmly followed the food dish when it was moved, and removed her head from the food bowl when assess-a-hand was applied to her cheeck. She relinquished both toy and rawhide easily without any issues. She is playful and energetic with other dogs. The Behavior Team feels Liannie would do well in an Average home. She may also benefit from obedience classes to learn leash manners and not to jump up.
