A volunteer writes: Introducing my favorite walking blimp…Lexi!! She was a bit shy and nervous when we first met, but seemed very submissive. She has warmed up to reveal that she is as sweet as they come! She sometimes likes to take breaks from walking, I’m not sure if she’s catching her breath or trying to tell me she wants to go the other way, but with a little encouragement she’s right back at my side. When she is on the move, it’s often with a ridiculous, bouncy, playful hop…which she manages to execute without pulling and while looking up to make soft eye contact with me! She’ll “sit” for treats and when I give her one she has an adorable habit of shaking it before chowing down. She is quiet in her cage, keeps it clean, and is quick to relieve herself outside. While she was initially apprehensive in playgroup, she’s recently let loose and enjoys playing with other dogs. Her weight doesn’t hold her back from a good romp, but she’s still got some nerves holding her back from being outright cuddly…but she seems to want to be! She’ll lean against me when I pet her, sometime seems tempted to ask for a belly rub, and will briefly prop her paws in my lap. I love Lexi! She’s very wiggly, attentive, smart, charismatic, AND she’s ready to come home with you today! Please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!
