A volunteer writes: I love his white heart shaped mask, and the promise of the fabulous dog inside. That promise was kept! So quiet in his kennel, his eyes met mine and I was drawn in. A senior, quiet, calm and in need of a friend and a walk. Brought to our care with his housemate Wichita (A1052285) when their owner died, Leawood cries from time to time as we walk. His leash manners are excellent, he’s likely housetrained, and his tail wags gently as we go. In the park we cuddle together on a park bench, Leawood giving me kisses and leaning in close. A big Lab stopped to say hello, and Leawood was gracious and gentle in his greeting. He’s so mellow, so gentle and so polite a thousand superlatives couldn’t begin to describe him.
Leawood was clearly well taken care of, his weight is good, his manners soft and sweet. I can see him being the best friend to whom you tell all your secrets as he listens intently and gives you a kiss to let you know it’s OK. He’s a great dog who needs you as much as you need him. Ask to meet him today.
