07/15/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lala came to us as a stray on 7/7/15. Though Lala is a stray she did come to us with some behavioral information as she spent some time in the finder’s house. Lala did live with some littermates and was reported to coexist well with them. The finder also stated that Lala is not bothered when touches her food bowl or toys. She was very nervous when entering the behavior room, but did warm up a bit after a few minutes. She allowed the assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items but did have fearful and tense body language during some of those items. Lala only displayed minimal interest in the food, but showed no interest in either the toy or rawhide items on this portion of the assessment. Due to Lala’s fearful nature the behavior department believes that she would do best in an experienced home and slow interactions. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her body posture is stiff and fearful; her tail is low and not moving. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, her tail is between her legs, body stiff, mouth closed, lip long, ears back, lip lick. Tag: 2. Dog is fearful but unresponsive when touched. Approaches the Assessor when the game ends. Dog is crouching, and has a long lip. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are back. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are back. Food: 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away. Toy: 1. No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-Dog: When off leash with other dogs Lala is nervous. She will interact briefly but is more interested in exploring her surroundings.

07/08/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs Lala is nervous. She will interact briefly but is more interested in exploring her surroundings. 7/9 update: Lala is fearful during her interaction. She will allow brief greeting but will attempt to avoid the other dogs. 7/10 update: Lala continues to be fearful and will correct mounting. Does not engage in play. 7/11 update: Lala is nervous and a little stiff initially, eventually relaxes and does engage in a running play, tries to solicit others. Was fearful at a loud barking from other yard.
