06/10/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Lovely Lala may officially be a ‘senior citizen’ but don’t tell her that! She’s about as far from retiring as it’s possible to get and her cute, barrel-shaped body can still bust a move with the best of them. When not wiggling and sniffing her way around the block, this friendly gal likes to keep busy with doggie socializing or ball fetching practice (including a pretty impressive jump shot) and, true to her name, Lala will literally sing for her supper! It’s hard to snap a good photo in between vocal requests for the ball, but let me assure you, this brindle beauty is in tip-top condition with a flawless, puppy-soft coat and copper-colored eyes that shine bright as two new pennies. Surrendered to our care (along with her brother Angel – A0719670) when their human ran into some housing difficulties, we’re told Lala is very playful and great with kids, has lived in happy harmony with two cats and would never dream of getting upset when someone tries to take her food, treats or toys away. She rocked her behavior assessment with amazing scores right across the board and everyone at the Care Center agrees that no matter what the size or shape of your family, Lala would make the perfect pet. Already spayed and ready to go go go, she’d love to show you just what you’ve been missing for the last 8 years. Ask to meet Lala today and let the good times roll on and on!

Lala did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. She kept a firm grip on the toy and rawhide but had loose, wiggly body language. She was described as playful and confident with a high activity level.
