12/08/15 13:48 Basic Information: Lacey is a 12 year old spayed, Pug/Beagle mix. Her previous owner got her from another shelter 2 year ago but had to surrender her because some of his family members were allergic to her. She has no known injuries or health problems and the last time she visited a vet was 1 year ago. The two things her previous owner liked most about her were; she’s obedient and very relaxed. Social life and Personality: Around children ages 8- 10 Lacey is relaxed and playful and when she plays she is gentle. She is relaxed and playful around all types of dogs. Around cats Lacey is respectful. She is house-trained but has accidents in the home if she wasn’t taken out often. She was kept indoors only and has a low activity level. He can be described as playful, confident, excitable, affectionate, mellow and friendly. Behavior: Lacey has never bitten a person or animal. If someone touched her food bowl while she was eating she would look up briefly, and had a wagging tail. She was friendly if her treat was taken from her while eating. She was also friendly if she was pushed off the furniture, given a bath, and if she was having her nails trimmed. Her previous owner never attempted to brush her coat. She was also friendly if she was held/ restrained, if an unfamiliar person approached her previous home or owner or if she was disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to know: Lacey knows how to sit, come, go and she knows bath means to go in the bath. For exercise she went on slow walks on leash 2x’s a day. She didn’t show much interest in toys or games. When her previous owners were home she would tend to follow them around and she was well behaved if left alone. When off leash outside Lacey would stay close but her previous owner’s side. She at dry Purina One Smart Blend and at night she slept in her previous owner’s bedroom. Behavior during intake: Lacey sat, stayed and got up on command. She allowed me to collar her, pet her and bear hug her for vaccines without reacting negatively. She had a wagging tail and relaxed body; she also took treat from hand. She showed no signs of aggression.
