09/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kuba previously lived with 1 adult and has resided with a 6yr old and a toddler. The owner stated Kuba is behaved, very relaxed and playfully towards children and also very friendly towards the adults he resided with. The owner describes Kuba as playful, affectionate and friendly. The owner stated Kuba has a high activity level, house trained and well behaved when home alone. At intake it was reported Kuba was relaxed and playful, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Kuba came into the assessment room whining and anxious, he was not interested with the assessor, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Kuba tried to bite at the assessor on the first paw squeeze. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. During safer Kuba attempted to exit between each item. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, his tail is between his legs, body tense, mouth closed. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 5. Dog freezes and tries to bite. Food: 1. No interest. Toy 1: No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs Kuba is sexually motivated but responds well to correction. He does not engage in play when solicited.
