12/07/15 14:05 Basic Information: King Tut is a 5 year old male Pit Bull. His previous owner got him when he was a puppy from a friend. He had to surrender him because of personal problems. He has no known injuries or health problems. Behavior During intake: While in the lobby, when King Tut saw a large dog he growled, barked and lunged. When he saw a small dog he remained relaxed. But while in the hallway he growled when he saw another dog. King had a tense body, his ears were back, and he showed whale eye. His body became stiff and he would look up when i attempted to pet him or collar him. He jumped when he heard loud noises and shaked the entire time.

12/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that King Tut is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER at this time. At intake it was reported that King Tut when seeing a large dog would bark, growl and lunge. It was also stated that he had stiff body language and was unable to be handled or collared. When the medical department attempted to give King Tut an exam they were only able to provide a limited one due to his behavior. He was very difficult to handle and was noted to be extremely nervous and tried to bite. In the kennel King Tut seems to be severely fearful, trembling in the kennel and appears to be shut down and not thriving. He does not respond to any attempt to interact with him and has very stiff body language. Staff members are unable to remove him from his kennel. A SAFER assessment will not be conducted due to safety and stress level concerns.
