My heart stopped when I saw this little foxy girl in a kennel. I met Bridgette presently called Kifli when she was a puppy, so lively and happy and now, she is all grown up and even more beautiful. How can I forget her lush red coat , her pretty triangular face , her pointy ears , her burning eyes and her great retriever’s skills ? A little Shepie/ Labie gal…Kifli, although healthy and outstandingly groomed was abandoned in the lobby of our care center. How is that ? There are no words…Kifli looks a little sad and the first thing she does after relieving herself is to jump on the bench and onto my lap. She cries a little, may be trying to tell me her story…She wants closeness, caresses and hugs…. Kifli walks so nicely on the leash, checking with me frequently to get my approval. We meet few other pooches, mainly little ones and Kifli seems fine with them. A staff and I took Kifli out again a little later. She looked brighter. Her tail was wagging. A tennis ball was in sight… My little retriever is back!!!!!! Yep, a smile came back on Kifli’s face. That’s a girl!!! Kifli is a lovely gal, as sweet as the devious pastry she is named after….She is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be your very own playful and loyal best friend, forever this time.
