12/19/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: So seriously stunning in his chocolate color coat, Kenny should be a professional portrait sitter! He made it so easy to take pictures of him, posing perfectly, making soft eye contact and sitting when asked. An easy slow walker, Kenny enjoys sniffing his new environment, and when I told him “good boy,” he looked up at me with a smile. He’s clearly used to being told he’s a good boy and he really is! He’s gorgeously groomed, affectionate and snuggly, and also seems to enjoy the company of other dogs, soliciting and enjoying brief bouts of play with the helper dog. Discovering a squeaky plush toy in the pen, Kenny walked around with it, squeaking it — so funny, and how smart is he! Rocking his behavior assessment indicates he’ll be a good fit in just about any home, and this quiet, well behaved soft boy is hoping he’ll be chosen next. Come meet him today.

12/16/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Kenny initially takes time to warm up, then begins to engage in play with other dogs. He has not yet been introduced to a male while in our care. The behavior department recommends that Kenny may be placed into a home with a social female dog, placement with a male dog should require a pre-adoption requirement beforehand. Kenny should be given time to acclimate in a new home and be introduced to a resident dog at a slow pace. Kenny arrived into our care as a stray, so any in home behaviors with dogs are unknown. When off leash with other dogs, Kenny is tense during greeting, then eventually begins to solicit and engage in play with the helper dog. 12/17: Kenny engages in bouts of play and eventually attempts to mount. 12/18 update: Kenny is initially uncomfortable but quickly warms up and begins to solicit play with a group of females. He does attemp to mount once play ceases. 12/19: Kenny engages in gentle play and is very tolerant of mouthy, puppy play from an energetic female.
