A volunteer writes:Kalimazoo may have arrived during one heck of a ‘bad hair day’ but trust me, this pretty senior is more than ready for the royal spa treatment she deserves! As the Queen bee of a small dog family — along with younger siblings Kazoo, Kreiger and Kobe — she’s naturally sociable and always keen to meet new four-legged friends both large and small. A great leash walker who uses the facilities almost immediately once we get outside, Kali has the perfect amount of energy for a girl her age and trots happily up stairs and around the block, stopping every so often to sniff an interesting smell but otherwise keeping up with me very nicely. Quiet, respectful and gentle almost belief, she’s totally cool with being picked up, put down, petted and posed for photos and when I give her a hand bath she submits to the drying process with total compliance and no complaints, though there is some additional ‘toweling off’ in her den as she joyfully rolls around in the toasty fresh bedding. Kali has so much to give to the world and she can’t wait to start a pampered new life as the spunky star of her very own forever family.
