04/01/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/01/15 21:24 Julia came to us as a stray on 3/23/15. Her finder stated that she was very playful with the dog and cats that she interacted with for the last few days and she was exuberant and a bit obsessive when she played. Julia was very friendly during the intake. She had a soft wiggly body, a wagging tail, and soft eyes, and she was very eager to play and be petted. She allowed handling and showed no signs of aggression. She was interested in treats, and she took them very gently. She jumped up onto everyone who passed by and seemed excited to meet them. Julia was adopted on 3/31 and returned on 4/1 because her adopter was concerned that he wasn’t able to help her recover from kennel cough. She’s been lethargic and uninterested in food. She drinks water and takes her medication in peanut butter, but vomits immediately after. She dry heaves often. Her adopter reports that she’s very gentle and affectionate. She tries to follow him around. She seemed to enjoy her comfortable dog bed and spent a lot of time on it. He put wee wee pads out for her and she went potty on them. During intake, Julia stood or lied next to me or her owner. She had soft body and her tail wagged a little when I talked to or started petting her. She often rested her head in one of my hands and closed her eyes while I pet her with the other. She didn’t react noticeably to being collared or scanned.
03/25/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Julia is very quiet but watchful in her small arrival kennel. She looks like a little deer or a giant Chihuahua. Her graceful features and manners attract the attention of passer bys. Julia seems a bit guarded when I open her kennel but accepts my leash and my arms to bring her down to the ground. She is really cute, trim, petite and so girly in her perfect fawn coat. She owns a silly tail broken into the shape of a crank. Julia walks nicely to the park and eliminates on the way. She is curious and wary at the same time of other dogs met.Julia is a bit on the shy side, at least for the time being and with us here at the care center. Indeed, she was found as a stray in a park and her finder reports that she was very playful with her dogs and cats….Julia is quite hungry although she is not skinny. Her figure seems to indicate that she had puppies not that long ago and might have to rebuild a stronger body. and might have to rebuild a stronger body. She is friendly and sociable despite being timid. She likes to be petted and gives little kisses in return. Julia is a young girl we have at the Manhattan Care Center. She is the perfect size for a New York City apartment but would settle for a castle just as well. Come and Meet Julia soon. She so would love to be your forever best friend.
