05/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Due to the behavior demonstrated in the shelter the behavior department believes that Jimmer is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER. He was also very tense during the medical exam, and was noted to be growling during this examination. In the kennel Jimmy` can be seen growling and snarling with very tense body language when approaching his kennel. For this reason the SAFER assessment was not conducted due to safety concerns for staff as well as concerns about Jimmy’s stress levels. The behavior department recommends a NH partner who can re-evaluate his behavior in a stable home environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home.
