10/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper dog: A1052412 Jay came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. During Jay Medical exam he did attempt to bite when his face was manipulated. Due to the possibility of discomfort as a result of the handling, his overall medical condition, and our desire to decrease stress in the care center, the handling items were skipped. During the resources portion of the assessment Jay bit the assess-a-hand on food, toy and rawhide items. Due to our inability to fully evaluate him, we recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can address the medical conditions and then re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment. Food: 5. Dog tries to bite. Toy 1: 5. Dog attempts to bite Rawhide: 5. Dog attempts to bite Dog-dog: 2. Dog approaches helper dog with tail at spine level, body not stiff, ears relaxed, and lip neutral.
