Jay, a young Pitie and Sandy, a Chihuahua, two unlikely friends, were left with us at the Manhattan Care Center as their owner had no time for them anymore. Both are two handsome guys, two housemates who were getting nicely along in their former home.Both Jay and Sandy had difficult beginnings here at the center.Chihuahuas have delicate souls and puppies like Jay are still very needy until they reach adulthood…Jay has come out of his wary shell. He can be a little tentative at times but I have seen him progressing day after day…Playgroups with other dogs might have helped..Jay indeed loves his kind(even when they are bigger than his tiny friend Sandy) and has been spotted kissing doggy girls…He is quite playful and loving, seeking hugs and caresses. He is very much house trained, marks a little his territory, knows very well his name, comes when called and sits on command and for treats. He is strong and pulls on the leash but nothing that i can not handle. i remember him being so serious when we first met. I was so glad to see a smile than a laugh appearing on his face…We are both winners and that feels so good. Jay was purchased from a breeder as a tiny puppy and has been beautifully cared for. He is healthy and his coat is pure silver . He comes with excellent recommendations, being good with children, strangers and other dogs. This is reflected in his behavioral evaluation here at the care center. Jay is a gorgeous youngster, barely eight months of age, friendly, shy at first but sociable and loving , good with dogs(even the little ones), who will make a fun and fantastic forever companion. Do ask for him, spend time with him and discover for yourself what a great pup he is.
