09/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jasper previously lived with 1 adult and another dog. The owner stated Jasper gets along well with the other dog in the house hold but if he sees a cat in the yard he will chase them. The owner mentioned Jasper is very frightened during Storms and fireworks and will hide in the closet. It was reported by the owner when attempting to take away Jaspers food, toys or bones he will become tense and slightly guard them. The owner mentioned Jasper is house trained, when left alone he is well behaved and has a low activity level. At intake Jasper was calm and relaxed, he allowed all handling. During SAFER Jasper came into the assessment room calm and relaxed, he was social towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Jasper was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Jasper was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Due to some concerns stated from the previous owner saying Jasper will slightly get tense and resource guard his food and treats, the behavior department feel its best he can go home with an experience adopter with no children.
