JANETSTERLIN – A1041149

Janetsterlin is a young beauty dressed in a shiny silvery dress to match her given name. She is bright eyed and watches me carefully from her large arrival kennel. Indeed, Janetsterlin, only 10 months of age is not a tiny little grey mouse but a big girl, lively and enthusiastic who needs to spend all her pent up energy.She is ready for me when I open her door and pulls on the leash while running around the block.She eliminates right away as we leave the building. Freedom in a pen is what Janetsterlin loves best…She is one friendly and sociable doggy girl who really shows me how happy she is  to be in company and to run and jump as she pleases. She can sit on command alright, preferably for treats and comes at the call of her name. Janetsterlin loves to eat and will even search my goodies bag…which earns her a reprimand.She enjoys to leap after a ball and catch it…She is fine releasing it into my hand. Janetsterlin is one playful pup and so pleasant to spend time with even that she is quite boisterous . She can be petted all over, squeezed, kissed….She allows all handling.I guess she takes it as a token of my friendship for her..We are pals….Janetsterlin is not only good with humans but with dogs too..She performs quite well in playgroups, enjoying her playtime to the full extent of the session. Indeed, she is a great pup, friendly, playful, enthusiastic and will make after basic training an absolutely wonderful forever best friend. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.

Janetsterlin pulls hard on the leash. She was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment – jumped up. She was excited (mouthy moderate) during some of the handling items, but had soft body language. Janetsterlin was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test.  Janetsterlin was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. She took the toy and rawhide away but had soft body language.

Janetsterlin is an active dog she need a significant amount of exercise, mental stimulation and training. The behavior department feels that she can go to an experienced home. We also recommend a home without young children; older children can be considered pending interaction.

Look: 3. Dog jumps on the Assessor, consistently rubs his shoulder on the Assessor, and will not allow Assessor to conduct the assessment.

Sensitivity: 2. Dog displays high energy and movement, but it is directed toward getting closer to the Assessor. Her body is soft, likely panting, may jump up between attempts to lick Assessor.

Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor.
