Helper Dog: A0961614 Jack was surrendered due to the owner moving. The previous owner states they had Jack for two years and he has lived with one adult and two children. The previous owner states Jack is not house/paper trained and is left in the living room for five hours at a time when not home. The previous owner states Jack has not lived with cats or dogs, but his behavior varies depending on the dog and the previous owner is unsure about his behavior toward cats. The previous owner states Jack is good with children and is fine with strangers. Jack walks calmly on the leash and was shy during the assessment – low body and tail. He was tense during handling, but had soft body language. He was relaxed when playing tag with assessor, but was not interested in food, toys or rawhides. Jack lunged and tried to bite the helper dog during the assessment. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. His body posture is stiff, and his tail is low and not moving. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, body stiff, mouth closed, lip long, may lip lick. Tag: 1. Dog stands with his tail low and wagging, and comes toward the Assessor in a friendly manner when the Assessor ceases moving. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw.
