09/04/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/04/15 22:17 Isis is a female Chinese Sharpei who was brought into ACC today as a stray dog. Isis is 3 yrs. old and she spayed and will undergo a full physical health exam. Isis was friendly and playful throughout the Intake process. Isis allowed people that she came into contact with to pet her and she sniffed people as she wanted. She became reactive when an attempt was made to place a new collar around her as she would retreat and hide. She did growl but made no effort to bite the person trying to pace a new collar on her. Isis was otherwise friendly and social throughout the Intake process.

09/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Icicle came to our center after an owner arrest. She was friendly but uncomfortable with collaring and leashing. Icicle walked nicely on leash for her relief walk, no pulling. She was nervous and slightly trembling upon entering SAFER assessment room. Icicle’s eyes were averted during Look item, body trembling. She stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, open mouth panting, ears and tail neutral. She did not engage during Tag game, distracted and unresponsive to touch. Icicle did not pull her paw back on both Squeeze attempts. She had no interest in Food, Toy, or Rawhide. Icicle approached the helper dog at an appropriate pace, ears, tail, body neutral. Due to her nervousness and sensitivity in collaring and leashing, the Behavior Team feels Icicle would do best with an Experienced adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her ears are back, her tail is down, body trembling. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, and her tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture, open mouth panting. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game with coaxing. She is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1 & 2: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. Her eyes are averted and her ears are relaxed . Food: Inconclusive, dog is not eating. Toy: 1. No interest. Rawhide: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 1. Dog approaches the helper dog, soft or loose body, not playful, tail down, investigates then turns away.
09/15/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When being collared and leashed, Icicle becomes uncomfortable and may flail and use her paws to prevent the handlers from collaring her. When interacting off leash with other dogs, Icicle allows the helper dog to sniff her briefly but mostly keeps to her self.
