A volunteer writes: Some say that dogs with two different colored eyes can see both heaven and Earth. With her pale blue and greyish brown eyes, Ice is definitely a candidate for the legend. She is stunningly beautiful – from her pink and black nose, to her two-toned coat, bat ears, and of course, those eyes. She could stand to fill out more and on a recent walk decided to be proactive and picked up a paper bag with leftover takeout left on the sidewalk. She calmly (and maybe a little proudly!) carried it in her mouth, possibly with plans to take it back to her den, but immediately dropped it when I asked her to. Ice is incredibly attentive and seems to want nothing more than to please her person. She was a little shy and tail-tucked when she first arrived, but has really blossomed to be so affectionate in the most calm, modest way. She is very easy to walk on leash and is constantly making soft eye contact. She can be reactive to some dogs, but quickly realizes she’d much rather cuddle than worry about distractions! She loves, loves, loves human contact – she’ll softly prop her paws on me, always stays close when I have her off leash, nuzzles her head into my lap, and gently gives kisses. So whether or not she can see both, I’ve come to realize that Ice is a little piece of heaven on Earth – and that alone is pretty magical! She would be so happy to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
