I am a male black and brown min pinscher and chihuahua sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 4 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/12/2015 from NY 10027, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/12/15 18:21hrs The Officer that surrendered Hulk stated that he is very friendly however when he was given food, he would growl when he was approached. During intake Hulk displayed a soft body and wagging tail. He would jump onto the Admissions Counselor lap and remained while being petted on the head. When the Admissions Counselor looked him in the eye and attempted to collar him, he stiffened his head and began to growl. He would also growl at someone unfamiliar that entered the room. He was scanned for a microchip(negative) and photographed.

11/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Hulk is fearful of the shelter environment he walks with a low and fearful body language. He was not sociable, and was more interested in the surroundings than the handler. During the look item Hulk became uncomfortable and wrinkles his muzzle to expose his front teeth. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Hulk took the toy away but had soft body language. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Toy: 1. Dog settles close, keeps a firm grip and is loose and wiggly. He does not place his body between you and the toy.

When off leash with other dogs, Hulk is nervous and a bit uncomfortable, shies away from approach.
