A volunteer writes: Hubba, Hubba…….my new friend Herc is absolutely stunning! I do have to admit to being a little concerned about his size and walking him in the street, but I needn’t have worried. Although he pulls slightly from time to time, his leash manners are good and I’ve walked far smaller dogs who pull so much more. He’s a head turner — elegant, well groomed, the perfect weight for his size and his gorgeous amber eyes complete his stunning picture. He’s likely housetrained, taking advantage of being outside immediately before we walked to the park. Posing for some pictures (although shy with my camera), when he got bored with the process he simply lay down to watch me :). Off leash in the backyard he explores the pen, comes when I call him, we take more pictures, and play for a bit as he has a lovely soft energy. Showing a friendly and appropriate interest in dogs of all sizes, he wags his tail gently in greeting. When he tires of it all (and it’s hot), he simply and smartly finds the shade and lays down to rest, head on paws. While this handsome fellow doesn’t solicit affection, he likes the attention, is happy to be petted all over as he wags his tail in friendship. Even his intake notes say he had a soft and wiggly body — how rockstar is that! Guaranteed to keep you warm on a cold winter’s night, Hercules is looking for that special someone with whom to spend the rest of his life. Ask to meet him today.
