A volunteer writes: Found with his friend East (A1040378), spending time with Harlem is like spending time with a puzzle……what pieces fit together? The houndy type ears, long body, eyes like marbles…..and the soft gentle personality of a sweet family dog. Harlem’s stunning dark cocoa coat is shiny, and while in my opinion he could stand to gain a couple of pounds, he looks great. A dollop of white on his snout makes him look like he’s been dipping into some whipped cream!! Probably housetrained he goes potty as soon as we’re out the door. He’s low key and easy, he greets a dog in an adjoining pen with an easy wag of his tail, joins me on the bench to hang out while I take some notes, and steals a gentle kiss when I look up. As
I reach into my treat bag he sits before I ask him to, and takes a treat gently. Social in play group, he bows to other dogs, greets appropriately but doesn’t yet play. This sweet boy is gentle and calm, undemanding and so easy to spend time with. He’s looking for a “chill” home in which plenty of love, good food, and appropriate exercise will all be a part of his happily ever after. Ask to meet our boy today.
